It's a great icebreaker for November, it encompasses the holidays in November. My students loved it!
Love this powerpoint for December when introducing the Season of winter. I have also used it in January when the students come back from the holiday break.
Created on Word so that it can be changed easily.
This worksheet gives directions as well as a number line to assist the student while he or she is completing the activity.
Giving an example and number line gives the studentt the opportunity to complete independently.
Here is just a glimpse of the writing activities created for my students. As you can see they vary in levels.
This is a great activity because all of the students can complete the activity. Some may be writing words of Autumn, some will cut out pictures and some can write sentences. And for the young ones, they can color or decorate the acorn.
This worksheet can be adapted for all levels in the classroom. Draw some lines and students can write words or sentences. Leave blank and they can draw or glue on pictures. I used this worksheet in all subject areas, just change the topic and writing boxes. Great tool to teach students how to organize their thoughts during the writing process.
Students struggle with organizing their stories/thoughts. This worksheet allows them to figure out what happened first, second, third, etc. And even gives them ideas as to what to write. Great starter for young writers.
